During December 2007/January 2008 and March 2008, Learn Great Foods will be touring Mendoza, Argentina, near the Andes Mountains, enjoying beef and wine, visiting mountain resorts, absorbing history, touring farms and wineries, and learning the culinary techniques of this gracious culture. Great lodging at the gracious Balbi Hotel in Mendoza and stylish Art Hotel in Buenos Aires, with a one day side trip to an organic farm hostel in San Juan. With hospitality, style, natural beauty, wine, food, and culture to rival the beautiful California wine valleys, Argentina is a fantastic place to take a Learn Great Foods Tour.

The cost of the Argentina week is $1,495 including in-country airfare between Mendoza and Buenos Aires (excluding airfare to Argentina.) Cost Increase: Recently (2006), the Argentine government increased the surcharge on air travel significantly, for foreign tourists only. What was a $200 U.S. fare was raised to $600 U.S. or more.

An Interesting Option: Some of our guests have chosen to travel by long-distance bus, as the Argentine middle class travels, instead of flying, in-country! It is an experience, to ride an overnight bus, complete with eyecovers and reclining chairs.
